Post-discussion

Abilene is one of those people that want to agree with everyone, and be friends with everyone. Now, that's all well and good, but there are times when there needs to be disagreement to gain progress. Talking about the fate of the plot of the story would be one of those times. I've been writing NEIO for five years, and I for one am not about to let it be taken over by Essie. She's been writing for like six months, and she's already trying to make it all about her.
Back to the point...On the way to or from Montgomery, I forget which, Abilene and I talked about the "discussion" of the story and Essie's new plots. That's when she gave her actual opinion. She could have said it then, it would have helped. But instead, she made me seem like the bad guy there. I was basically ignored. Abilene is one of my best friends, but she needs to learn that taking sides is sometimes something you have to do.

The "Discussion"

Friday the 10th. Abilene, Nakia, Essie, and I took a half day. It was fun, until we had to drop off Nakia. Then came the drama. Nothing new, after all Essie was there. But this time I had to care about it. It was about the story.
Sometime last spring, we asked Essie to be apart of the story Abilene and I have been writing since 7th grade. She accepted. Why did we ask her? We wanted a character for the "E" in NEIO. But we'd done without one for a couple years. So the biggest reason: Because every time we would talk about NEIO she would make this face and act like she was so excluded. So I figured...why not let her write? And Abilene agreed.
She came up with a plot. I could merge it into mine fairly easily. I even came up with ideas how. Then she changed it. So I missed the only opportunity I had to fit Estelle into the story. It's kind of a good plot, but there's not really a way I could fit that into mine.
Abi, Essie, and I sat around as Essie talked mostly about the back story. It was strangely similar to another plot...Oh I know! Ours! It wasn't as much of a discussion as it should of been. When I would try to insert my opinion or something, Abilene would rudely shush me! :(
What stinks is this is my baby! I started NEIO! I shouldn't get shushed...My opinion and constructive criticism should matter...
After awhile I just started watching television. They weren't including me anyways so it didn't matter.
We didn't come to an agreement. Abilene acted like she was agreeing and compromising, but I couldn't tell if she really agreed...

I Love October

The weather is nice. Summer is over so it isn't as hot. It's cool enough that I can wear cute sweaters. It's amazing! lol.
I love the way October smells.
Plus, My best friend Abilene's birthday is in October. On the 7th! She's bringing in cookie cake for our ice cream party on Thursday. Woohoo!

The Circus!

Tonight I went to the circus with Essie and Brianna (a.k.a. Babycakes)

Here's a few things that happened:
  • Well first off...some guy with a tray on his head with popcorn it it was a total jerk to Essie! We were wondering how it was balanced on his head. So Essie said "Excuse me, sir." He turned around and said "$5." Then she asked if it was attached to his hat. And you know what he did? He just walked off! That was so rude...
  • The ringmaster was very annoying, as he should be I suppose...Argh his laugh! "Ah-ah-ah"
  • Most of the people working the place were either Hispanic or Olympic-rejects.
  • There was a Russian girl who could juggle while standing on her head. Babycakes and I think she got reeeally bored one day lol.
  • Essie and Babycakes rode a camel!
  • Then they rode an elephant!

Not bad for 2/3 of us being terrified of clowns (and there were hip hop clowns there too!)

Fun. Totally gotta do that again with them!
